Up to May 2007 Edwin was Director and Head of Structured Finance at Robeco. Edwin set up the Structured Finance division within Robeco, which prior to his departure included 35 professionals. He was responsible for the introduction of a number of very successful investment products. Prior to Robeco, Edwin worked at Credit Suisse in London, where he structured tax and accounting driven derivative transactions and structured products. Some of which included cross border leasing for energy plants and energy grids.
